Who loves Guacamole?? *unabashedly raising both hands*
You make a bowl full of guacamole!!
Did you know that traditional guacamole doesn’t include lime OR cilantro? The lime was originally added to prevent the guac from browning, but it eventually became a guacamole staple in American culture.
Now, I’m all for staying traditional, but I LOVE lime and cilantro. So if you are all about the authentic experience, this guac is not for you.
- 3-4 Avocados
- 1/2 a red onion
- 1/2 a bunch of cilantro (more or less depending on your personal preference)
- Juice of 1 large lime
- 10-12 “shakes” of the Tabasco sauce (it has to be the green pepper sauce!)
- Salt, pepper, and garlic powder to taste
- Optional: 1 tomato
We actually made guacamole twice this week! We had it once on Jalepeño Burgers and once on Fajita Baked Potatoes. Stuffing your face with guac when you are stressed is better than ice cream, right?
